1. Who we are

LegalDesk Partners (“we”, “us”) provides administrative support services to law firms and legal professionals in the UK. For information collected through this website and our enquiry process, we are the “controller” under UK data protection law.

When we handle information on behalf of a law firm as part of our services, we act as that firm’s “processor” instead. That is covered on our Data Protection & Security page.

2. What information we collect

Enquiry details you give us through the contact form, by email or by phone: your name, firm name, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in, and the content of your message.
Business contact details of people at law firms, such as name, job title, firm and work email, which we may use to contact you about our services (see section 5).
Technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, which is recorded in our web hosting provider’s server logs for security and reliability.

We do not ask you to send us confidential client information through this website’s contact form. Please do not include it in your enquiry.

3. Cookies and third-party content

This website does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is shared with Google when a page loads. If we add analytics or marketing tools in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

4. Why we use your information, and our legal basis

5. Marketing

We may contact people at law firms about our services by email, phone or LinkedIn where this is permitted by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR. Every marketing email includes a way to opt out. You can also tell us at any time at hello@legaldeskpartners.com that you do not want to be contacted, and we will stop and keep a record so we do not contact you again.

6. Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:

service providers who help us run the website and our email, such as our web hosting and email provider (Hostinger);
professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, where needed; and
authorities, where we are legally required to.

These providers may only use your information to provide services to us and must protect it.

7. International transfers

Our team is based in Pakistan, and our providers may process information outside the UK. Pakistan is not currently covered by a UK “adequacy” decision. Where personal information is transferred to a country without one, we use appropriate safeguards, such as the ICO’s International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with technical and organisational security measures.

8. How long we keep information

We keep enquiry information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected. If an enquiry does not lead to a contract, we normally delete it within 12 months. Information relating to a contract is kept for the contract term and for the period needed to meet legal and accounting requirements.

9. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
ask us to delete your information, or restrict how we use it, in certain circumstances;
object to us using your information based on legitimate interests, including for direct marketing;
ask for your information in a portable format, where it applies; and
withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on it.

To use any of these rights, email hello@legaldeskpartners.com. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. More detail is on our Data Protection & Security page.

11. Children

Our services are for law firms and legal professionals. This website is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect their information.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
